In October 2015 two senior leaders and three Erasmus Team Teachers from Rastaala visited Dunkirk and had the opportunity to work with their link classes.
It was great to see how seeing the partners gave this project a deeper dimension. "Right on our first visit it struck me how tight knit the school community was. All of the campus students gathered together for a morning meet-up. The atmosphere was warm and positive. The saw videos on previous co-operations and we were happy to meet the ten new students visiting us in Finland next February." We also sat down and had a meeting about the Pupil Camp in Velskola, Espoo, that will take place in February 2016. |
Maarit and Alice
The theme of this year are racism, equality and community. I decided to process these subjects through the emotions point of view. Before my visit in Nottingham I had already co-operated over a year with Alice Elsmore at Dunkirk Primary School.

We had chosen refugees for our topic because it was extremely current and suited our theme.
